Usage
Use (Hekserij)
DMBC butyrate has a spicy fruit scent reminiscent of plums, but also melon and
fig. The smell is not very strong, so it can be used undiluted. Typical use is
in fruit accords, such as from berries. You usually use between 0.5% and 10% of
this substance in the fragrance composition. It is used in fruit fragrances such
as apricot, apple, currant, blackberry, plum, melon etcetera. In addition, it
fits well with green and floral scents such as those of rose, violet and reseda.
It is primarily a heart note in perfumes and is stable in most products,
including soaps, deodorants and bleaches.

DMBC butyrate is a colorless to pale yellow liquid at room temperature. The
purity is at least 99% and the substance has a long shelf life. The substance
does not occur in nature but is a synthetic substance.
