EO Vetiver Sri Lanka has an earthy, woody, spicy fragrance with smoky aspects.
After the scent composition has matured, the fragrance can have a stronger
effect than during mixing. A dilution of, for example, 10 or 25% is therefore
recommended. The vetiver scent fits well in wood accords, such as the one with
cedar. Vetiver combines well with spicy floral scents, such as rose or
carnation. It is mainly a base note in perfumes and quite stable in most
products, including soap.
Physical properties

EO Vetiver Sri Lanka is a dark brown, viscous liquid at room temperature. The
substance has a long shelf life and actually only gets better as it ages. The
oil is made from the roots of the vetiver plant by steam distillation. Like any
essential oil, it is also a mixture of various substances; the following is an
indication of the composition:
5-25% - Khusimol
5-10% - beta Vetirene, beta Vetivenene
2-5% - Aromadendrene, beta Caryophylene, alfa Vetivon
1-2% - Isovalencol, beta Vetivon
