The scent of Davana essential oil is unique and special: a spicy berry scent
with green and camphoraceous aspects. Also some rose and spice aspects. Davana
goes well with the scent of herbs and spices, but also adds spice to fruity
perfumes. It goes well with rose, and gives a special note to chypres and amber
perfumes. It is a unique scent in many respects and therefore an important
addition to the perfume organ, especially for natural perfumers. In perfumes it
is primarily a heart note. The stability in soap is not well described in the
literature, but due to the composition it is probably good.

Essential oil Davana is an orange to brown liquid. The oil has a long shelf
life. Davana is the name of an herb from the same family as mugwort and
wormwood. The essential oil is made by steam distillation of the herb. Our
davana oil - like almost all davana oil - comes from India.
