Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Essential oil Juniper berry has a green, spicy, coniferous scent that is not
overly strong; use it undiluted. It pairs well with spicy fragrances, as well as
woody notes. It adds a touch of natural freshness and a bit of spice. You
typically use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in fragrance compositions.
In perfumes, it is primarily a top note (although it offers woody notes well
into the heart) and unfortunately, is not very stable in most products. It
usually works well in anhydrous and alcohol-rich products, but consider adding
an antioxidant.

Juniper oil can be made from the wood of the shrub, the needles, and the
berries. We've chosen the slightly more expensive, but more delicately scented
essential oil Juniper berry: oil from the berries, not from the needles or wood.
This oil is extracted from juniper berries through steam distillation. No
artificial fertilizers and minimal, if any, pesticides are used in the
cultivation of this plant.
