Fixateur 505 (Fir) has a somewhat sweet scent towards ambergris, wood, but also
some fresh citrus aspects. The fragrance is not particularly strong, but a
dilution of 10% can still be useful. In this case, TEC is a good solvent,
because it is already abundantly present in the fragrance base, just like
Hercolyn D. Typical use is as a substitute for ambergris. You usually use less
than 1% of this substance in the fragrance composition, but more is not a
problem. It combines especially well with amber, wood, spice scents and musks.
It adds warmth and depth to the fragrance. In perfumes it is mainly a base note,
it is quite stable in most products, including soap.

mixture of various fragrance materials and solvents has a fairly long shelf
life. It contains natural and synthetic substances. The manufacturer is the
