Usage

Heliotropex N (IFF) has a vanilla-like 'balsamic' fragrance with spice and floral aspects. The fragrance strength is average, Heliotropex can be used undiluted. It can be used very widely. For example in floral scents such as heliotrope, acacia, lilac and honeysuckle. In addition, in gourmand scents and ambers. In most fragrance applications it can replace heliotropine/piperonal one on one. The advantage over heliotropine is that it discolours much less easily.

The full name of this IFF product is Heliotropex N 0512. IFF has made it for the professional market as a non-discoloring alternative to heliotropine. We are pleased with it, because heliotropine may only be sold to marketing authorization holders. Heliotropine is an important raw material for making XTC and related drugs. For that reason we do not have and do not trade in heliotropine.
