Usage
Use (Hekserij)
The scent of Ionone alpha sits on the interface of flowers, fruit and wood. This
makes the substance difficult to describe, but also very versatile. A powdery
iris scent is perhaps the best short description. The smell is not very strong,
making a dilution is therefore not necessary. You can use any amount in the
fragrance composition: a trace up to more than 30%. The main floral scents it is
used in are cyclamen, hyacinth, honeysuckle, lily of the valley, rose, violet
and white flowers. Also available in leather, wood and fantasy fragrances. It is
primarily a base note, sometimes heart note, in perfumery and is stable in most
products, including soap.

Ionone alpha is a colorless to pale yellow liquid at room temperature. The
substance has a fairly long shelf life. The substance is very limited in nature,
the synthetic version is used for use as a fragrance.
