Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Isoraldeine 95 (Giv) Methyl ionone has a powdery scent reminiscent of, for
example, iris root and violet. The odor is not very strong and the substance
lends itself well to use in larger quantities, so it can be used undiluted. The
number of uses is particularly large, not only in iris and violet scents, it
suits fruits (special red fruits such as berries), many flowers, such as rose,
but also fantasy scents. It is in a lot of wood scents and chypres, but also in
many amber scents. You usually use between 0.1% and 10% of this substance in the
fragrance composition, but in special cases you can go up to 30%. It makes
almost any fragrance composition it is in more radiant, that is, more reaching,
more striking. It is primarily a heart to base note in perfumery and is stable
in most products, including soaps, candles and acidic products.
Physical properties

Isoraldeine 95 (Giv) Methyl ionone, or gamma methyl ionone, is a colorless to
yellow liquid at room temperature. The substance contains at least 85% alpha
isomethyl ionone and it has a long shelf life. In nature, this substance hardly
ever occurs, it is a synthetic substance. The manufacturer is the Swiss
Givaudan. We consciously chose that: they had the best scent and also for a very
reasonable price.
