Use (Hekserij)
The scent of Kephalis (Giv) is reminiscent of wood, amber, tobacco and some
green herbs. The scent is not particularly strong, undiluted use is common. It
is a versatile amber note, and that is how it is used: usually between 1% and
15% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with other
ambers, with honey, leather and tobacco scents, but also with floral scents such
as rose and carnation. In perfumes it is a heart to base note, it often elevates
other base notes. it is stable in most products, including soap.

Kephalis (Giv) is a colourless to pale yellow liquid at room temperature. The
purity is at least 80% (sum of both isomers) and the substance has a fairly long
shelf life. It does not occur in nature, it is a synthetic substance. The
manufacturer is the Swiss Givaudan.
