Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Magnolan (Sym) has a floral scent with green and citrus aspects, reminiscent of
magnolia and gardenia. The fragrance is not particularly strong, undiluted use
is common. Typical use is in floral accords, especially those of white flowers.
You usually use between 0,1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance
composition. It combines well with woods, musk and citrus. It adds a natural
aspect to white floral scents. In perfumery it is mainly a heart to base note,
it is stable in most products, including soap.

Magnolan (Sym) is a colourless to pale yellow liquid, sometimes partly solid, at
room temperature. The purity is at least 98% and the substance has a long shelf
life. It does not occur in nature, it is synthetic. The manufacturer is the
German company Symrise.
