Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Neryl Acetate has a fresh, fruity floral scent reminiscent of certain aspects of
rose, geranium and green flowers such as hyacinth. The smell is not particularly
strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in floral accords, especially of
rose, citrus accords and fruit accords, especially of pear. You usually use
between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines
well with green floral scents, as well as citrus and tree fruit scents. In
perfumes it is mainly a top to middle note. It is stable in most products, it
can also be used in soap.

Neryl acetate is a colourless to slightly yellow liquid at room temperature. The
purity is at least 92%, it may contain some geranyl acetate and also some
geraniol. The substance has a fairly long shelf life and occurs in nature, for
example in clary sage, melissa and helichryse. For use as a fragrance, the
synthetic version is used.
