Oud synth 184007 (Fir) is a well-known oud base from Firmenich. The scent is
that of agarwood: woody, sweet, spicy, and ambery. We have several oud bases,
which are similar but also different: trying them out and evaluating them
thoroughly is the best way to learn the differences. The advantage of this oud
base is its relatively low price. Oud blends well with many amber and floral
scents, but as always, a creative perfumer can create other combinations. You
usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition.
It adds warmth and a sweet spiciness to the scent. In perfumes, it's primarily a
base note.
