Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Phenirat (Sym) has a fruity scent reminiscent of green apple. The scent is not
particularly strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in fruit accords,
especially apple, plum, berries, pear and mango. You usually use between 0,1%
and 30% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with
fruit and citrus, but also with rose, green flowers and wood. It is a building
block that can be bent in the desired direction with small amounts of other
substances. In perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is stable in most products,
also in soap.

Properties (Hekserij)
Phenirat (Sym), or phenoxyethyl isobutyrate, is a colourless to light yellow
liquid at room temperature. The purity is at least 98% and the substance has a
fairly long shelf life. It does not occur in nature, it is a synthetic
substance. The manufacturer is the German Symrise.
