Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Stemone (Giv) has a green spicy scent reminiscent of snapped green leaves and
stems with a hint of anise. The scent is not overly strong or overpowering, so
Stemone can be used undiluted. You usually use between 0.1% and 5% of this
substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with certain flowers
such as lily of the valley and fruit scents such as citrus scents. It can partly
replace galbanum oil and is also used for the smell of fresh fig. In these
compositions it adds a green element. It is primarily a top note in perfumes and
is stable in most products, including soap.

Stemone (Giv) is a colorless to pale yellow liquid at room temperature. The
substance has a fairly long shelf life. The substance hardly occurs in nature,
it is a synthetic substance. The manufacturer is the Swiss Givaudan.
