Usage

Strawberry furanone has a sweet, fruity scent reminiscent of strawberry jam and
caramel. The scent is strong and the substance is sensitive to oxygen and
moisture, so a dilution of, for example, 10% can be beneficial. This can be done
in DPG, alcohol, or TEC. Its typical use is in fruity and gourmand accords. You
usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition.
It blends well with other fruity and gourmand scents. In perfumes, it primarily
serves as a base note; it is not very stable, so we advise against using it in
soaps and candles.

Strawberry furanone, also called furaneol, is a white to yellowish coarse powder
at room temperature. Its purity is at least 98% and the substance has a limited
shelf life. It occurs naturally, but the synthetic version is used as a
fragrance material.
