Usage
Use (Hekserij)
Triplal (IFF) has an intense green scent reminiscent of a freshly cut hedge, but
also with a hint of citrus zest. The smell is very strong, making a dilution of
say 10% in DPG can therefore be useful. Typical use is in green chords or as a
green accent. You usually use less than 1% of this substance in the fragrance
composition. It combines well with other green scents, as well as with fresh
fruit, including citrus. It is mainly a top to heart note in perfumes. When used
in soap, good testing is important, in neutral cosmetics such as perfumes,
shower gel and aftershave the substance is usually stable.
Physical properties

Triplal (IFF) is a colorless to pale yellow liquid at room temperature. The
purity is at least 99% (sum of isomers). The substance does not last very long,
after a while the freshness wears off. The substance does not occur in nature.
The manufacturer of Triplal is IFF, names of similar products are Cylal C and
Ligustral (Givaudan) and Vertocitral (Symrise).
