Vertofix coeur (IFF) has a dry, woody scent reminiscent of cedarwood. The scent
is not particularly strong; undiluted use is common. It is typically used in
woody accords, sometimes combined with amber. You usually use between 0,1% and
30% of this substance in fragrance compositions. It is incredibly versatile;
there are few scents it wouldn't be suitable for. It adds a dry warmth to the
fragrance, and a warm, animalistic aspect. Besides the scent, it also
contributes to the fragrance's diffusion. In perfumes, it primarily serves as a
base note; it is stable in most products, including soaps and candles.
